Each patrol consisted of 2 mountain rescuers, equipped with stations, medical kits and, for the first time, a Mountain Rescue uniform, initially orange. The action took place only during the summer, between June 15 and September 15.<\/li>\n<li>1972 &#8211; the first Salvamont training school takes place at the Podragu chalet<\/li>\n<li>1974 &#8211; through voluntary work (patriotic at that time) performed by mountain rescuers and volunteers, at Lake C\u0103l\u0163un in the F\u0103g\u0103ra\u015f mountains, the &#8220;Toma Boerescu&#8221; refuge is located<\/li>\n<li>1975 &#8211; during the winter, in B\u00e2lea Lac, the Salvamont national school takes place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>1976 &#8211; Iosif Schneider takes over the leadership of the Salvamont Sibiu formation<\/li>\n<li>1977 &#8211; the biggest mountain catastrophe in Romania takes place in B\u00e2lea Lac, an avalanche that killed 22 people, 16 children and 6 adults<\/li>\n<li>1980 &#8211; mountain rescuer Robert Ungureanu<\/li>\n<li>1986 &#8211; Mihai Voinescu takes over the leadership of the band<\/li>\n<li>1992 &#8211; the Sibiu Mountain Rescue Public Service is established under the Sibiu County Council;<\/li>\n<li>1993 &#8211; Bl\u0103jan Ovidiu becomes the head of the band<\/li>\n<li>1994 &#8211; in the F\u0103g\u0103ra\u015f mountains, the most difficult Mountain Rescue competition takes place in Romania, the participating teams having to cover a route between the Arpa\u015f chalet (Fata P\u0103durii) &#8211; Munchia Albotei &#8211; Creasta Arp\u0103\u015felului &#8211; peak.
